Productivity Challenge Week One

When I made the leap to become self-employed full-time almost 14 years ago there were a few main reasons I chose this lifestyle. Being my own boss, not having to answer to someone who didn’t share my values, and being able to create my own schedule.

What I hadn’t considered was how hard it is to build a business and that can mean a lot of hours worked if you don’t have the resources to pay someone to help you or the skills and knowledge to finesse how your time is spent…meaning be more productive. This is the first in a series of posts around productivity.

I challenge you to find something on this list you aren’t currently doing to become more productive. As motivation, consider how you’ll spend your extra time. Can you finally catch up on some sleep your missing? Is there a movie you’d like to see or a book you’d like to read? Keeping your eye on the prize can help you stay focused and find success.

  • Do your heavy lifting when you are at your best
  • Stop multitasking
  • Delegate properly
  • Eliminate distractions
  • Be optimistic
  • Take care of yourself
  • Add a pop of color or live plans around you
  • Decorate your workspace

Watch for our second post coming in a couple of weeks!
